Hi,
I've had this account for a long time, but I've used it mainly to lurk in other livejournals and communities.
You'll ask yourselves then, why I've finally come out of the rock I'd hidden myself under.
The reason is that, recently, I've seen an increase in the action of those groups of people whose only intent is to castrate the freedom of expression of those that don't agree with their narrowminded mentalities.
I'm speaking of us yaoi and slash lovers, of every variety, may it be fanfiction, manga, anime or other.
Purges of sites, avalanches of flames and other big and small attacks are discouraging more and more people from sharing their interests with others.
I'm talking about cases like that of Emerald Falcon (you can read her problems here if you're a member of the Slytherin_Collective Yahoo!Group), or the mass purge that's going on on Fanfiction.net.
I don't believe the phenomenon is of such a dimension as to be a threat to our little-big world of "alternate" hobbies.
I actually believe that even though we may be a minority, we're a tough one and it will be a cold day in hell when we will give up what we like.
It just irks me that the actions and words of some bigots end up making others feel that they have to hide their interests like some guilty, dirty, little secrets.
I'm a reserved person by nature, I'm not used to share my private life with others, except for my family and few (and far between) friends, but that doesn't mean that I believe or feel as if what I like is something I should be ashamed of.
This said I've decided that it's time I contribute to our little, but very dear cause, even if just by a little.
I neither have the talent nor the time to write or draw new pieces to add to the lot that are already out there and that increase everyday, but I can try and spread word about the little gems that I come upon.
I warn you already that it will be really slow going work, but I'll try to at least be constant about it.
Since the worksI'll be referencing to will be mostly mature in content the posts with the lists and reviews will be friend locked and identified as cotaining "Adult content", just friend me I'll try to be as fast as possible in friending you back.
Best wishes and lots of love,

I will use this livjournal mostly like a site (since I don't have the time to build and maintain one).
Here you will rarely if ever find references to my daily life or random ramblings.
The purpouse of this livejournal, for me, is to share with others links, suggestions and opinions on my hobbies.
The posts in this livejournal will therefore be updated on.
With this I want to warn you that just because a post was written on a certain day it may not mean that there isn't anything new in it.
I will try to update the date of the post when I modify one, in order to make it evident that it's been updated, but I have to admit that I may forget or I may just not have the time to do it (I'd prefer to put up something new, than to bother being precise about little things, sorry =( ).
You're free to point out any mistake you may find here to me.
I will also always welcome suggestions about what to put up, as well as comments and discussions about what is already up.
I don't mind lurkers (I am a BIG one too), so feel free to  lurk all you want (if you aren't too shy, maybe you could at least post a simple "Hi" in this post, just to let me know if someone is finding what I'm posting interesting or useful).

Thank you for your attention and welcome,

If you support gay marriage and want to show it, paste this into your profile/journal/site/etc.

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, liposuction and air conditioning.
2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.
